The HSU has been informed by SNSWLHD they are now transferring patients to a refurbished Close Observation Unit. This unit is located in very close proximity to the previous four bed COU bay in the general impatient unit. You can view the correspondence at this link.

Preliminary consultation with all staff commenced on 24 November around a significant change to the COU model of care, anticipated in February/March 2022. This change will involve an increase to seven COU beds from the current four COU beds. As the COU model of care work progresses there will be continued consultation with all disciplines.
