The Health Services Union has received correspondence from Southern Cross Care to advise of their decision to permanently close Moama Residential Care Home in NSW.

It is anticipated this home will close by the end of November 2023.

This decision directly affects all employees working at Moama, including those working for Catering Industries.

SCC will, in the majority of cases, offer redundancy or suitable redeployment to another SCC location within reasonable travel distance.

The HSU is hoping both Catering Industries and Southern Cross Care will work together to support impacted employees.

Your HSU Organiser Michelle Beliaiev will be visiting the worksite on Wednesday, 1 November 2023 to discuss the closure and be available to represent members throughout the process.
