MNCLHD: Proposed reporting line changes, Child and Family Counselling Team

Mid North Coast Local Health District has advised the HSU of their proposal to review reporting lines in the Child and Family Counselling Team, as part of the Community Services Reform (CSR).

The District says this is because there are concerns that the Child and Family Counselling Team which currently sits in the Child, Adolescent and Family Team in the Integrated Care, Allied Health and Community Services Directorates’ core business and models of care have potentially similar service characteristics of the mental health program delivered by the Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) that currently sits under the Mental Health, Alcohol and other Drugs Directorate.

As such, the District states they will commence a period of consultation with staff and associated stakeholders on whether this service would be best positioned to sit in the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Directorate.
