IMPORTANT MRS STATEWIDE MEETING – MEMBERS ONLY – REGISTER BELOW

The Medical Radiation Science (State) Award is not fit for purpose, we all know this. Nothing highlights this fact more than the inconsistent treatment of MRS graduates entering the workforce.

There is no consistency: graduates with the same degree and the same experience are being paid and classified differently based on nothing more than their location of employment.

This occurs because as AHPRA and universities have evolved, the Award has not. It is an industrial instrument which doesn’t reflect fair, reasonable and consistent conditions.

It’s time this changed. The HSU is seeking to establish a consensus position on this issue and how to fix it, which is member endorsed. To this end, the HSU is holding state-wide mass meetings next week for members only to debate and vote on the HSU position on this matter.

It is crucial that all members attend to have your voice heard. This will be the first time in over a decade where we can seek to rectify the neglect of our Award. Don’t miss out! Meetings will be held at two separate times to allow for staff on different rosters to attend.
