Under the cover of the holiday period, Lismore City Council has announced they will be reintroducing paid all-day parking in the hospital precinct from Monday, 18 January 2021.

All-day paid parking along Hunter and Dalziel Streets, as well as time-limited parking along Weaver and McKenzie Streets and Laurel Avenue, will be reintroduced from this date.

The HSU is making representations to Council to stop the reintroduction of paid parking at a time in which we have seen some of the largest ever queues for the Fever Clinic.

As health workers, you know that we are not out of the woods when it comes to COVID-19. We are simply calling on Lismore City Council to do the right thing and keep the free all-day parking.

Members will be kept apprised of any developments as and when they occur.
