Laverty update: push back against cost cutting and job losses

Published March 18, 2024
Dear Member,
Last week HSU representatives met with Laverty executives to raise members’ concerns, following their recent announcement outlining job cuts.
Laverty management said they need to find savings to remain financially viable and this decision was ‘regrettable’. They also haven’t ruled out further changes down the track.
Your representatives responded by saying workers should not have to suffer because of Laverty’s poor financial management.
Step up – become a member representative
At the meeting on Wednesday night, members unanimously endorsed the establishment of a regular consultative meeting with Laverty, including member representatives, to ensure members’ concerns are raised and addressed.
Members are now invited express their interest in becoming a member representative.
