The HSU has been winning significant improvements to PPE and overall health & safety at numerous COVID-19 collection sites, including:

• Better provision of equipment such as face shields, gowns and gloves
• Safer meal rooms, more adequate toilets and heating facilities
• More frequent removal of biohazardous material
• More consistent induction processes for employees who are new to a worksite.

Members are also reminded that your wage increase came into effect on the pay period that ended Sunday 25 July. Please make sure your pay from that period onward reflects the 3% increase as per your enterprise agreement.
