Your upcoming enterprise agreement (EA) is sitting with the Fair Work Commission for final approval. The Commission is seeking clarification from Laverty about some items that may not meet the minimum requirements for a new EA. 

Union members voted for this new agreement, and they want wage increases now. While we cannot speak on behalf of Laverty, we estimate the agreement to take effect by mid-May.

In the meantime, it’s important to remember the wins in this EA were due to union activity. HSU members successfully rejected Laverty’s initial wages offer, and organised a mass petition pushing for fairer wages.

Once the new EA takes effect, we will be in touch with further information about what new pay and conditions members should monitor and help enforce.
