Voting closed last night on Opal’s enterprise agreement offer and management have been told loud and clear - HSU members reject their insulting wage offer!

This was after HSU members conducted a ‘No Vote’ campaign, that has shown the strength of collective bargaining.

Where do we go from here?

Bargaining isn’t over and Opal will be forced to come back to the negotiation table to bargain with your HSU bargaining committee - this is a huge union win for union members at Opal.

Opal have proposed to consult with employees over the coming weeks and will meet with HSU representatives in the next two-three weeks. Before we go back to the bargaining table, HSU delegates and organisers will be asking what your priority issues that Opal need to address to get an Agreement made are, and what we do if Opal continue to ignore them.

The greater our numbers, the stronger our fight. Let’s stick together and push for a better outcome!
