The HSU has received correspondence from Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District about the implementation of telematics devices in fleet vehicles.

According to ISLHD, the NSW Government has mandated vehicle telematics for all general-purpose Government fleet vehicles.

The LHD has claimed this is to improve driver safety and compliance but says the information will also be used to review driver actions, especially where driver actions may be deemed dangerous.
