HSU members at St Basil’s Hellenic Village say they have not received clear direction from St Basils about RAT testing and the expectation of it being done on-site in paid time, or in their own time at home, without pay.
RAT testing is a work task and should be done on paid time.
Members have also raised concerns about pay issues and say they have regularly experienced underpayments. Members also say that St Basils are not making payroll adjustments in an acceptable timeframe.
All wages should be paid accurately and on time. Where an error occurs, this should be corrected as soon as practicable or in the next pay cycle at the latest.
HSU members have raised these matters with St Basil’s, who have committed to providing all staff with a clear, written direction on RAT testing and a written reminder on how to make a claim when there is an error with your pay.
Members should be paid for all time worked, including RAT testing time and should receive their wages in full and on time.
If you have been underpaid and have outstanding funds owing to you, please contact your Organiser Renee Sheridan on 0408 132 351 or [E-Mail not displayed].
