Important HSU meeting tomorrow to discuss EBA offer

All HSU members are encouraged to attend a special meeting this Tuesday – at 12pm or 6pm – to discuss Salvation Army’s EA offer. See details below.
This important meeting will be to discuss the offer, consider the results of our HSU member survey, and agree on the next steps in the negotiations. If you haven’t yet responded to our member survey, make sure you have your say today.

Salvation Army Offer
The Salvation Army are proposing a 2-year enterprise agreement for staff, with pay increases of 3.5% in each year. If you haven’t had your say yet, let us know what you think of the offer here.
The Salvation Army also propose improvements to:
- Allowances – To be increased by 3.5% per annum for each year of the agreement
- Parental leave – Increasing paid leave from 9 weeks to 12 weeks and paying superannuation on all parental leave
- Casual minimum engagement – Increasing the minimum engagement from 2 hours to 3 hours
- Shift penalties – Afternoon shift commencing from 10am, instead of 10:30am
