Because of the incredible efforts of HSU members, Aged Care is one of the key issues facing voters this election.

We’ve campaigned long and hard to ensure the need to fix the issues plaguing Aged Care are squarely on the agenda. We’ve secured commitments from Anthony Albanese and the Labor Party to support and fund our Work Value Case to increase wages, as well as increasing care minutes to ensure there are more carers in the sector.

HSU members have also worked hard to convince aged care providers to support our push to Change Aged Care.

Illawarra providers will be meeting this Thursday 12 May at 11am in JJ Kelly Park, Wollongong to call for urgent change in Aged Care.

The HSU is supporting this event and urges members to attend if you can. Let’s raise our voices and call for an aged care system that works for residents, workers and the community.
