Due to excellent work from members who have been chasing up casuals and sending through final petition pages for our Majority Support Determination, ICON have now indicated they are prepared to bargain with you and your colleagues.

This is a great step forward – however, management haven’t put this confirmation in writing just yet. They have also indicated that they can’t commence bargaining for two months, due to ongoing negotiations and protected industrial action in VIC/QLD.

ICON are also trying to use the company wide annual percentage increase (amount TBD, due 1 July 2024) as leverage, in that members would forfeit this increase by forcing them to negotiate before this date.

So what’s next?
