These claims were informed by participation in surveys, conversations with HSU organisers and other members, and online members meetings. In assembling these claims, the bargaining committee has aimed to be as comprehensive as possible while also keeping this principle in mind: a union can win only what its members are organised to fight for.

Next, the HSU committee will need to assess what members collectively feel are the high, medium, and low priorities among these claims. We encourage our fellow members to be part of this decision-making process: talk with colleagues about the union, contact HSU representatives, and take part in membership meetings.
