Hunter Imaging Employees Vote NO to Proposed Agreement

After running a ‘no’ vote campaign regarding the proposed Hunter Imaging Group Enterprise Agreement, the HSU has just been advised that a majority of HIG employees chose not to support the proposed Agreement.

What this means is that HIG will be forced back to the negotiation table to continue to bargain with the HSU for better pay and fairer conditions. This is an amazing union win, and an even better win for HIG employees!

HIG have proposed to meet with the HSU and HIG representatives on 22 April 2021 to continue the negotiation process. In between now and then, the HSU will contact HSU members at HIG in order to understand what issues need to be prioritised at future bargaining meetings. The HSU will continue to fight for pay parity and a pay increase for all members that is better than that which was initially proposed to HIG.

This highlights the importance of collective bargaining, and only goes to show what we can achieve when we stand together and fight for fair pay.
