As you will be aware, the HSU Indigenous Development Committee was formed last year to empower indigenous members of the union, and to support persons or programs that will:

• Increase or contribute to the education of Indigenous peoples,
• Assist with the provisions of health services in Indigenous Communities; or
• Further any other program that benefits Indigenous communities.

The members of the Committee oversaw the disbursement of the first round of grants from the HSU Indigenous Development Fund, valued at a total of $50,000. You can read more here.

The Union is now seeking expressions of interest from Indigenous Members to fill two (2) vacant positions on the Committee.
