For nearly two years HSU members have been fighting for a 25% pay rise for all aged care workers.
Late last Friday, the Fair Work Commission handed down an interim decision of a 15% pay rise for direct care employees only.
What does this decision mean for you? Have your say here now.
Hundreds of HSU members attended urgent meetings this week to discuss the decision and agree on a way forward.
HSU members agreed that we will not rest until we get decent wages for all aged care workers, passing the following resolution unanimously:
- All aged care workers must be covered by the pay increase.
- The full 25% pay increase must be awarded by the Fair Work Commission.
- Any pay increase must be implemented as soon as possible.
It is clear that our fight is not finished!
We will be taking our message to employers, to the Fair Work Commission and to the Federal Government, but we need your help now.
We are asking every HSU member to have a say about what this decision means for you and to tell us how you can help the campaign for a 25% pay rise for all aged care workers – click here to have your say now.
Our fight for decent wage is too important to stop now, and we can’t leave anyone behind. Have your say today and help us keep campaigning for a 25% pay rise for all aged care workers.
