Dear Member,
More than 120 HSU members rallied during their lunch break last week to protest HealthShare’s decision to close John Hunter Hospital’s Cosy Kooka Café.
Despite widespread outrage to the decision, which was made without community consultation, HealthShare is still pushed ahead with the closure.
At Thursday’s rally at John Hunter, speakers called on HealthShare to listen to community and worker concerns about the effect of closing the café.
Wallsend Labor MP Sonia Hornery was among the speakers, and urged HSU members and members of the community to contact her office so she can pass their concerns on to the NSW government and Health Ministry.
You can contact Ms Hornery at [E-Mail not displayed].
This is your chance to have your say!
