The HSU has received correspondence from HealthShare NSW about the proposed implementation of the CHEF Pilot Program in Food Services at Armidale, Tamworth, and John Hunter Hospitals across 2024.

An initial notification was sent in September 2023 which mentioned that the Pilot was to commence at Armidale Hospital in May, Tamworth Hospital in July, and John Hunter Hospital in October. HealthShare has now provided a new timeline with go-live dates as follows:

• Armidale – 23 July 2024
• Tamworth – 22 October 2024
• John Hunter Hospital – June 2025

Additionally, HealthShate has advised that Rankin Park Centre has been separated from John Hunter Hospital, with an anticipated go-live date of late 2024 or early 2025.
