Heritage Care offer appalling 1% wage increase - HSU meeting next week!

Published November 19, 2021
The HSU has just restarted enterprise agreement negotiations with Heritage Care after a long break, due to the pandemic and the potential sale of the business.
Union members set our top priorities for the negotiations back in March this year, calling on Heritage Care to pass on fair pay increases of at least 3% per annum, implement reasonable staffing levels and provide better support to staff through improved conditions at work. A full list of our claims is available for you to view here.
Heritage Care has responded with an appalling wage offer of just 1% per year, each year, for the next three years.
This is one of the worst wage offers the union has seen in the aged care sector and is an absolute slap in the face to the hard work of each and every member at Heritage Care.
The HSU is calling an urgent online meeting of all union members at Heritage Care next Wednesday 24 Nov at 4pm, to discuss this offer and plan our collective response.
We need to be strong and united in telling management that this offer isn’t good enough and that staff at Heritage Care deserve better wages.
If your colleagues are not yet HSU members, please encourage them to join the union so that they can attend our meeting on Wednesday. New members can join online at www.hsu.asn.au/join or by calling 1300 478 679.
All HSU members are invited to join online next Wednesday at 4pm. You can join the Zoom meting online here: https://zoom.us/j/99627300220 or by calling (02) 8015 6011 and entering Meeting ID: 996 2730 0220.
We hope to see you next Wednesday afternoon.
