For far too long, Allied Health and Health Professional members have been working under out-of-date Awards that don’t reflect the complexity and value of our work.

HSU Delegates across nearly all professions have been hard at work drafting new Awards with improved pay, conditions, career progression and protections around workload.

In the coming month, HSU Allied and Health Professional members will receive notifications of meetings to hear about the final Award claims which you will be asked to vote on.

There’s never been a more important time to get involved. Last week, we saw an amazing response as Allied Health members in Northern Sydney LHD stood together against $55 million staffing cuts. As the NSW Government applies pressure on districts and specialty networks to cut their budgets, we need to make sure we apply equal pressure upward, to combat the economy drive.

Now is the time to start ramping up our campaign, communicating with each other and with the public about the catastrophic situation in many Allied and Health Professional departments as the staffing crisis worsens.
