Health Infrastructure: Proposed changes to the Asset Management program

The HSU has received correspondence from Health Infrastructure about significant changes to the Asset Management program.

According to Health Infrastructure, the Asset Management Executive Steering Committee (AMESC) has made the decision to reduce funding to the program, and to transfer funding and responsibility for the program to the Ministry of Health and Local Health Districts/Specialty Networks.

The reason given for the changes is to meet savings targets set by NSW Health following a push from the Government to bring the State budget back into surplus.
