It took time, but your petition showing solidarity and demanding a better pay offer has had an impact, and this week we finally heard back from your employer. They offered a further 1% to the wage increase you received in July this year.

This is still far below cost of living increases, and less than your colleagues in the public sector have received. On top of that, they’ve said they won’t be in a position to resume negotiations until the end of March!

Your HSU organiser will be on site this week to discuss our options and decide on next steps as a collective.

If you think this isn’t good enough – an entire year after St. John of God Healthcare agreed to bargain – speak to your colleagues about joining the HSU and getting active.
