Harbison Special HSU meeting - Next Wednesday at 5pm
-
Published June 18, 2021
All HSU members are invited to attend a special union meeting next Wednesday 23 June at 5pm at the Mittagong RSL Club to discuss our way forward in the Harbison EA negotiations.
Harbison have ignored our claims for improvements to key working conditions and now a majority of staff have voted no to one of the lowest wage offers in the aged care sector.
This week, the Fair Work Commission declared a 2.5% increase to all Award wages for 2021. Many other aged care providers are now offering much better wage increase than Harbison.
We say that you deserve a fair pay increase. We say that Harbison needs to respond to your calls for improvements to key working conditions.
This special members meeting will be making important decisions about the way forward. Please RSVP here to let us know if you’ll be attending.
We will discuss:
- Minimum pay claim that HSU members would accept;
- The key working conditions that need to improve for HSU members vote yes;
- Our strategy to move the negotiation forward;
- Industrial action – What actions are members willing to take if Harbison continue to say no
The meeting next week is open to HSU members only. Anyone who is not yet an HSU member is encouraged to join the union now so that they can attend and participate.
