GLAICA House Enterprise Agreement Members' Meeting

HSU members have contacted GLAICA House management to begin the bargaining process for a new enterprise agreement.

Unfortunately, management have not provided a response.

HSU members at GLAICA House are extremely frustrated at management’s lack of response. Your fellow members will be holding a zoom meeting on Thursday 12 January to decide on a resolution moving forward.

If GLAICA House won’t come to the table, then we can consider forcing them to bargain. This is done by a ‘Majority Support Determination’ or ‘MSD’. When a majority of the employees want to bargain with their employer to make an enterprise agreement but the employer has not yet agreed to bargain, the employees and their representatives can apply to the Fair Work Commission for an MSD.

First, we must prove that a majority of GLAICA House employees want to bargain. This can be done through a petition. This means HSU members will need to get active, talk to their colleagues, and recruit non-members.

Please join the HSU zoom meeting to discuss this process, answer any questions, and come to a decision as to where HSU GLAICA House members go from here:

Date: Thursday 12 January
