You are invited to a state-wide zoom meeting open to all Genetic Counsellors on Monday 24 July at 12:00pm.

In the last 6 months, dedicated and hard-working members of the HSU Genetic Counsellors Industrial Committee have met monthly to identify the key challenges for the profession.

One issue stands out more than others – a severely out of date Award which does not reflect the work you do or address the qualifications and skills you have.

The Committee has identified the key areas of required reform of your Award, focusing on the areas which don’t pay you fairly, which hinder career progression, and which fail to acknowledge your contributions.

Now is the time to share this information with members and seek your endorsement that these truly are the most pressing issues. Only through a united and collective voice can we powerfully advocate for better careers and opportunities.
