Over the last 12 months, the Health Services Union has proudly funded Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia (RDVSA - https://www.rape-dvservices.org.au/) to develop and deliver free vicarious trauma workshops for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers and organisations. The training has been developed to increase workers and their organisations’ understanding and capacity to respond to vicarious trauma at work. You can read more about the training here.
A final free training session has been scheduled for:
Wednesday 25th August 9am-1pm AEST
The workshop will be conducted via Zoom.
To register, members can email RDVSA at [E-Mail not displayed] with your name, role and organisation.
The HSU and RDVSA are also interested in supporting members who may wish to facilitate this program in the future. This would involve attending a 2-day ‘train the trainer’ course (dates to be advised). If you are interested in attending, please indicate this in your email to [E-Mail not displayed].
