The HSU is seeking expression of interest from members who are interested in participating as a Union representative on Local Health District (LHD) Grading Committees from time to time.

Under the NSW Health Determination No. 23 of 2007 Grading Committees – Social Workers and Dietitians, LHDs are required to establish grading committees consisting of two representatives of the HSU and two representatives from the LHD.

The purpose of the Grading Committee is to review and provide a recommendation to the grading of any new position or any variation of grading of a position.

This ensures that any new position or changes to an existing position align with the requirements of the Award and that the grading of the position is appropriate.

Interested members will be placed on a list and will be asked from time to time to participate in the LHD Grading Committees.

The HSU will arrange a short teleconference meeting of all interested members to run through the role and function of the committee.
