Everymind Bullying & Harassment

The Health Services Union is aware of significant concerns of bullying and harassment in the Everymind Unit at the James Fletcher Campus.
We understand the Local Health District is making inquiries on the issue and discussions will be had with staff on Monday 30 November. This is one step forward, but there are still concerns these inquiries will not lead to an investigation or resolve the issue in a timely manner.
Staff should feel safe raising their concerns both internally and with the Union. Every staff member has the right to a fair and safe workplace. Any efforts from management to prevent staff discussing issues of bullying and harassment would be a breach of Work Health and Safety legislation.
The HSU will be organising meetings (either online or face to face) with Everymind members to develop a strategy moving forward. If you have any concerns and would like to raise them, please contact your organiser Maddie Feledy on 0448 110 086 or at [E-Mail not displayed].
This process will need the support of all staff members in the Everymind Unit. Bullying and Harassment issues have been resolved in the past when staff stick together and join the HSU.
Encourage your workmates to join online at www.hsu.asn.au/join or phone 1300 478 679.
