Delegate of the Year Nominations

HSU Delegates are union members who go the extra mile: who help to plan, organise, talk to management, assist their fellow members through thick and thin, and even reach out to the community to generate support for HSU action.
Delegates have fought to Change Aged Care, Scrap the Wages Cap, improve the NDIS and campaign for better wages across the private sector. Their energy and dedication inspires other union members to step up and make a mark.
Delegates are the glue of this union – that’s why this year we are instituting the HSU Delegate of the Year Awards to recognise the contribution made by a special delegate in each division of the HSU.
This award recognises HSU NSW/ACT/QLD members for excellence as a union delegate. Nominations will be accepted for delegates from Public Health, Private Health, and Aged Care/Disability. Awards will be presented at the 2023 HSU Conference.
Members should use the nomination form at this link (if you prefer, you can find a writable PDF form at this link). Nominations should be 500 words or less and should identify the qualities of a colleague that line up with the nomination criteria. All nominations will require a seconding member.
Please nominate a fellow member who deserves to be recognised for their outstanding work with the union and their commitment to our membership. You can submit your nomination through the above webform or send the completed nomination forms to [E-Mail not displayed]. Nominations close 12 June 2023.
