Cutbacks to free staff parking at POWH: Have your say

Recently, the General Manager of Prince of Wales Hospital advised staff that the free parking at the University of New South Wales had stopped. This parking arrangement was introduced at the height of the COVID pandemic to protect health workers and the public. Unfortunately, the pandemic is still far from over and travelling by private car is still the safest way to go to and from the workplace.
The HSU has contacted the Hospital management to see what alternate arrangements, if any, they are putting in place to help day shift staff who are driving to work and need nearby parking to their workplace.
This is an important matter that the HSU will pursue with NSW Health, but we need your input. If you are impacted by this change email your local HSU Organiser, Glen Pead, [E-Mail not displayed] as soon as possible. Let him know how this change has affected you
The information you provide will help us fight for better arrangements for staff parking.
If you know someone who hasn’t yet joined the HSU, encourage them to get on board today. Standing together gives us a stronger voice in the workplace. New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
