Cumberland Hospital: Vote for your bargaining committee representative!

Dear Member,

Three union members from Cumberland Hospital have nominated to be on the Award Reform State Bargaining Committee. Cumberland Hospital is entitled to one representative, so you are invited to vote for who you would like as your bargaining representative.

Here are your candidates:

  • Omila Bir is an occupational therapist. Omila is passionate about better wages, lighter workloads, improved patient-staff ratios, and better regrading processes.
Michael Mackenzie is an administration officer. Michael would like to see improved pay rates across the state.
  • Mandana Sheibani is a Health Care Interpreter. Mandana would like to see a Pay Rise as wages are very much out of date and need to be adjusted with inflation.
  • Please submit your vote here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TJRH9KT

Voting will close at 5pm on Wednesday, 3 January.

Bargaining representatives will:

  • Attend state-wide committee meetings to discuss the negotiations and state-wide campaign strategy.
  • Report back to HSU members their worksite on how negotiations are going.
  • Be able to nominate as one of the 15 members of the state-wide bargaining committee who will form the negotiation team.
  • Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.

New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
