Last week the Fair Work Commission handed down an historic decision, awarding many HSU members significant pay rises of up to 28%.

This amazing outcome only came because of the campaigning and activism of HSU members around the country, who called for aged care workers to be valued.

On Monday 25 March, we will be hosting two online HSU meetings for members to get together and go through the decision in more detail. We’ll also try to answer as many questions as possible and have a discussion about the next steps.

The meetings will be held at 12pm and 6pm.

Unfortunately, not all aged care workers were awarded such significant increases through this decision, and we’ll also discuss how we can keep campaigning for change and improvements to the sector to make sure everyone’s work is valued.
