Coffs Harbour & Port Macquarie Hospitals: Paid Parking Survey
-
Published March 25, 2021
HSU members at both Coffs Harbour Health Campus and Port Macquarie Base Hospital have raised considerable concerns about the introduction (or reintroduction) of paid car parking for staff.
The Union strongly opposes the imposition of parking fees on health workers simply to park at your worksite – particularly when the NSW Government has effectively frozen workers’ pay. This is another out of pocket expense that health workers don’t deserve and can’t afford.
To effectively organise and fight back against these unfair parking fees, we need a coordinated effort from all members to show we’re not going to stand for it. The HSU is now undertaking a brief survey to help us determine what measures members are prepared to take in order to maintain free staff car parking.

Remember, good outcomes come with strong union membership in the workplace. If you know someone who hasn’t yet joined the HSU, tell them to sign up today and get involved. New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 478 679.
