Clare O'Neil MP is coming to Pendle Hill

For years aged care workers have been calling out the need for change in our system. Finally it feels like change is coming.

Just a few short weeks ago Labor Leader Anthony Albanese committed to:

  • Supporting and funding our Work Value Case to increase aged care worker wages
  • Increasing care minutes to ensure there are more carers in the sector
  • 24/7 registered nurse coverage at all facilities
  • Transparency and accountability of aged care funding.

These commitments would not have come about if it weren’t for HSU members who have campaigned and lobbied for change.

Tomorrow afternoon Shadow Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care Services Clare O’Neil will be at Fresh Hope Pendle Hill along with Parramatta candidate Andrew Charlton to hear from you and your colleagues about what it’s like to work in aged care. This is a chance to tell your story, about your job and the changes you want to see from our politicians.

Please share this with your colleagues who might not yet be HSU members. Let them know what HSU members are doing to Change Aged Care. New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au or by calling 1300 478 679.
