The HSU is providing further information in relation to our previous newsletters advising of the City of Sydney Council’s support for our members in parking around Hospital’s in their LGA.  Our most recent newsletter provided the specific details for members at RPA and St Vincent’s Hospitals.

We have had some inquiries from members at Sydney Hospital in relation to parking arrangements from Council during this pandemic.  The HSU has made further representations to the City of Sydney Council, and we have been advised that the parking out the back of Sydney Hospital is managed by the NSW Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust (The Trust) and not Council.

Councillor Linda Scott has advised she will write to the relevant State Government Minister to support our request for untimed/unmetered parking, and I wish to advise the HSU will be doing the same and will be contacting The Trust to seek their support consistent with arrangements in place for the City of Sydney LGA.

We will advise members the outcomes of those representations as soon as information comes to hand.
