CHW Social Work Proposed Changes to Rosters
-
Published July 8, 2021
Recently the HSU was made aware that Children’s Hospital Westmead were attempting to make changes to the Social Work on-call roster without consulting with our members or the Union, which must occur under the Award.
The HSU and your delegates are concerned management are attempting to increase services and workloads without any additional permanent staffing or funding.
HSU members are dedicated to their professions and want to provide the best service possible. But CHW management must stop taking advantage and start adding staff to deal with increased workloads.
Following the HSU’s intervention, we have now received a consultation document for feedback. You can view it at this link.
Your HSU Organiser will be holding a series of zoom meetings next week with affected members, details below:
- Tuesday 13 July 1-1.30pm - https://zoom.us/j/96452849152
- Wednesday 14 July 1-1.30pm - https://zoom.us/j/99413426783
If you’re affected by this issue but can’t make it to either of these meetings, you can provide feedback directly to your delegate or HSU Organiser Brendan Roberts – [E-Mail not displayed] or 0425 181 361.
Know someone who isn’t yet an HSU member? Encourage them to join today. The more members we have on our side, the louder our voice and the harder it will be for management to ignore.
New members can join at www.hsu.asn.au/join, call 1300 478 679 or complete this membership form and return to your delegate or Organiser.
