In April this year HNELHD proposed to reduce staffing at the Cessnock Hospital Pharmacy Department.

HSU members, with the assistance of the Public Health team, pushed back and won! Members provided the HSU with extensive information and arguments about why the changes were not justified: too much work, too few staff, and detrimental impacts for the public. Because of the feedback provided by members, the Public Health team was able to convince HNELHD to abandon their proposal.
