CCLHD: Medical Imaging Restructure Dispute Update
-
Published October 14, 2022
Recently the HSU sought the assistance of the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) in relation to the proposed Medical Imaging restructure. It appears that management have been telling staff that the dispute proceedings in the IRC have concluded.
This is totally incorrect.
The matter is listed for report back to the IRC on 26 October 2022.
Here are the facts:
- The District has agreed to not pursue directing existing Level 4 Radiographers into manager roles (although we have not received amended org charts to reflect this), agreed to develop a protocol to shut modalities down when there is not enough staff, and agreed to ongoing consultation with the HSU in developing rosters.
- At this point the HSU does not agree on the proposed staffing levels as it is not believed that appropriate rosters can be developed on the numbers proposed.
- Local management have arranged a series of meetings with staff to discuss rosters with feedback going to the Union Specific Consultative Committee.
