CCLHD: HSU members in Workers Compensation Claims execute work bans

Published December 12, 2023
As of 5pm on 8 December, HSU members in the CCLHD Workers Compensation Claims and Claims Management offices have put work bans into place, limiting caseloads to 20 for part-time and 30 for full-time claims.
HSU members have taken this step as management have been unwilling to address the issues of understaffing and appropriate grading of members at a level matching the complexity of work undertaken.
Members working the Workers Compensation area have asked their fellow HSU members to support them in this action. The work ban has not been put into place to disadvantage anyone, but to keep a safe workplace for those who provide this vital service across the LHD.
Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.
