The HSU has received correspondence from HealthShare NSW about proposed changes to the afternoon Emergency Department Cleaner Shift at Belmont Hospital.

HealthShare says they have received verbal notification from Hunter New England Local Health District of their intention to discontinue COVID funding which provided for an additional afternoon cleaner at Belmont ED from 13 March 2024. The impacted permanent part time Cleaner, Hospital Assistant Grade 2 (HAG2) will continue with their current roster till the specified date and then will return to the general cleaning roster under Patient Services.
