-
Published September 15, 2022
Your bargaining team met with Lumus representatives yesterday and have made some progress regarding your conditions.
We have agreed in principle the following:
1. To include the status quo provision in the dispute settlement procedure;
2. Increase Compassionate Leave from 2 days to 4 days and extend the entitlement to include access to the leave for instances of miscarriage and stillbirths;
3. An employee will be entitled to be paid the applicable percentages when their rostered hours of work finish after midnight on a public holiday;
4. Insert Family & Domestic Leave clause and this entitlement to be paid;
5. An employee who has been employed for less than a year in the event of redundancy would be entitled to 1 week severance pay and 2 weeks when an employee is over the age of 45 years old.
6. Insert the Casual Conversion clause;
7. Increase New Year’s Eve penalty from 200% to 250%.
Lumus are still costing the proposed Enterprise Agreement the HSU have put to them a few weeks ago. Our next meeting is schedule on 27 September 2022 to which we will continue our discussions. We anticipate we will be bargaining the following conditions:
· Weekend Work and Shift Penalties
· Overtime Rates
· On Call and Recall Rates
· Classifications
· Wage Rates
· Transitioning State Employees at Northern Beaches Hospital
Once we have gained the whole package being offered by Lumus, we will send this onto our members and hold member meetings in the coming weeks to consult further on our next steps.
Your bargaining team has fought hard so far and will continue to push hard to get our members the best possible conditions.
