Warrigal have commenced negotiations for a new Support Services Agreement. This means that HSU members covered by that agreement can campaign for wage increases and improve working conditions.
The Support Services Agreement is different to the Warrigal and NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association, Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation NSW Branch, Health Services Union NSW/ACT/QLD Branch and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation – Australian Capital Territory Branch Enterprise Agreement 2022 which was negotiated last year. See below for more information.
Your HSU Bargaining team want to hear about your top priorities for the new agreement – click here to have your say in our HSU bargaining survey today.
Who is covered by the Warrigal Support Services Enterprise Agreement?
Warrigal and the HSU recently negotiated an Enterprise Agreement that covered workers conducting care, or workers in the kitchen and laundry.
The Warrigal Support Services Enterprise Agreement is being negotiated to cover other Warrigal roles including:
- Customer Service Officer
- Property Services Employee
- Roster Support Officer
- Customer Relations Officer
What’s next and how do I get involved?
The first step is for affected HSU members to determine our claims and priorities for the new enterprise agreement. Follow this link to a survey to contribute to the Log of Claims.
HSU members’ claims will provide the basis for ongoing negotiations. If you have questions about this process or want to get involved in the Bargaining Team, you can contact your local Delegate or Organiser.
To get the best outcome, we need to be strong and united. If you have colleagues haven’t yet joined, encourage them to have their say and help build union power by joining us at www.hsu.asn.au/join or call 1300 HSU NSW.
