Bankstown Hospital Security Dispute
-
Published February 17, 2021
Yesterday, after speaking with concerned members from Security at Bankstown Hospital, the HSU has notified the employer of the existence of a dispute over a proposal for Security Officers to collect and transfer cash/valuables from inpatient areas to the hospital safe.
There has been no consultation with the HSU around the processes involved in what the HSU believes will result in a reduction of security within Bankstown Hospital.
Accordingly, the HSU has sought the enforcement of the status quo provisions within Clause 26 of the Health Employees Conditions (State) Award in order for the formation of a disputes committee to deal with this issue.
If you have any concerns, please email your organiser Matt Ramsay at [E-Mail not displayed]. Once more information is received, the HSU will inform members accordingly.
