All HSU members are invited to attend a Zoom meeting on Thursday 11 April at 6:30pm, to discuss the proposed transfer from Aurora to NovaCare or MSS. There will also be an opportunity to discuss any other workplace issues members wish to raise.

Yesterday, we spoke with Aurora Commercial Manager Elise Roulstone, who confirmed that Aurora will be talking to staff members next week and seeking members’ preferences about transferring to the new provider or not.

Aurora have said that any staff who transfer would do so on their current pay and conditions. This is important, as we want to make sure that nobody is adversely affected by the transfer.

Further, Aurora also said that staff would not be forced to go to the new employer if they didn’t want to. Members should feel comfortable to clearly express their preference to Aurora at the meetings to be held next week, and we will do our best to ensure that HSU members get the outcome they want.

HSU Industrial Services Officers in our Member Service Division are available to provide union members with advice about their individual circumstances, if anyone wishes. MSD staff can also attend the upcoming meetings alongside HSU members in order to support and advise them.
