Right now, less than one third of Canberran residential aged care workers have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. This is despite you and your colleagues being part of phase 1A – and the Prime Minister calling for mandatory vaccinations in aged care by 17 September.
In response, this morning ACT Health has announced that 2,000 priority COVID-19 vaccination appointments are now available to Canberra’s aged care workers.
Members can call 02 5124 7700 (7am to 7pm daily) or go to www.mydhr.act.gov.au to make an appointment at an ACT Government clinic now (remembering to identify yourself as a residential aged care worker to get a priority appointment).
If you are still facing challenges in accessing an appointment, please contact the HSU Member Services Division on 1300 478 679 so we can escalate this with the ACT and Federal governments.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the HSU Member Services Union on 1300 478 679 or email [E-Mail not displayed].
