NSW Health Minister Ryan Park has agreed to meet ADHSU delegates at Parliament House today to talk about much-needed maintenance of rosters.
The Minister only agreed to sit down with delegates after ADHSU members overwhelmingly voted to take action.
The maintenance of station/centre rosters is vital for ambulance coverage and has a major impact on work life balance for paramedics and control centre officers.
NSWA staff are not just the lowest paid in the country, but also the highest injured, with the second highest work intensity after WA.
Delegates are hoping for a productive meeting and to demonstrate to Mr Park how leaving rosters unfilled is potentially dangerous and short-changes the community.
Members will be updated on the outcome of the meeting.
