Today the NSW Government announced its intention to increase wages for health workers by just 4% plus 0.5% super.
With the cost of living skyrocketing, a 4% pay rise means health workers’ wages will be going backwards.
Premier Minns promised reform but when push comes to shove, he’s happy to short-change hardworking health workers.
This is unacceptable. We need to show the Government we’re not backing down.
HSU action on Big Wednesday last week was the first step in our campaign for action on pay. We made a powerful statement, and now the Government is watching for our next step – let’s make sure we keep the pressure up.
