Congratulations! Fair Work Commission approves new Calvary Bruce EA!

Dear Member,

Congratulations! The Fair Work Commission has approved your new enterprise agreement, and it is in now in effect.

The EA’s approved wage offer breaks down as:

  • Backpay of 3.75 per cent from the first full pay period (FFPP) after 1July 2023
  • Backpay of 3.5 per cent from FFPP 1 July 2024
  • 3 per cent FFPP 1 July 2025
  • 3 per cent FFPP 1 July 2026

Calvary has confirmed it is aiming to process your backpay in an out-of-cycle pay run on Thursday, 12 December 2024.

Other key improvements of the new agreement include:

  • Paid Parental Leave increasing to 18 weeks for primary carer and two weeks paid for secondary carers after a year of service
  • Faster pay point progression for part time workers, who now will have their sick leave and overtime counted towards 1976 hours
  • New Leading Hand allowance (where the role is not otherwise supervisory)
  • New requirements to roster two days off together, where practicable
  • TOIL, utilisation period reduced to three months from six months
  • New Public Holiday substitution
  • Increase from 10 to 20 days paid Family and Domestic Violence Leave
